Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 500g of wheat flour
- 200ml of warm milk
- 100g of butter
- 100g of sugar
- 1 egg
- 10g of dry yeast
- A pinch of salt
For the filling:
- 200g of raisins
- 100g of candied fruit peels
- 100g of chopped almonds
- 100g of butter
- 100g of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk, add a pinch of salt and sugar, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to activate the yeast.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, butter, and egg, then add the dissolved yeast and knead into a soft dough. Leave it to rise for 1-2 hours.
3. Meanwhile, prepare the filling by combining the raisins, candied fruit peels, chopped almonds, butter, powdered sugar, and cinnamon.
4. Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape, spread the filling over half of the dough, then carefully fold it in half so that the filling is inside.
5. Transfer the stollen to a baking sheet greased with butter and let it ferment for 30-40 minutes.
6. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake the stollen for 30-40 minutes until it becomes golden brown.
7. After baking, sprinkle the stollen with powdered sugar and let it cool before serving.
