Ingredients:
- 1 ribeye steak (approximately 2 cm thick)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil or olive oil for frying
- Sprig of rosemary or thyme (optional)
- 2 cloves of garlic (optional)
- 2 tablespoons of butter (optional)
Instructions:
1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add vegetable oil or olive oil.
2. Season the ribeye steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
3. Place the steak in the skillet and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium doneness. If you prefer a more well-done steak, increase the cooking time.
4. If using, add a sprig of rosemary or thyme to the skillet and crush the garlic cloves.
5. Add the butter to the skillet to give the steak a richer flavor and aroma. Cook the steak for an additional 1-2 minutes, basting it with the oil infused with rosemary and garlic.
6. Transfer the steak to a plate and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
7. Serve the ribeye steak with french fries, vegetable side dishes, or a fresh salad.
Enjoy your meal!
