Ingredients:
- 300g of beef
- 300g of pork
- 200g of sausage (such as salami or smoked sausage), diced
- 150g of boiled ham, diced
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 liter of beef broth
- 1 liter of water
- 1 can (400g) of tomato paste or tomatoes in their own juice
- 3-4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Bay leaf, herbs (dill, parsley) for aroma and garnish
- Pickled cucumbers or lemon for serving
Instructions:
1. In a pot, sauté the chopped onion in vegetable oil until golden, then add minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes.
2. Add the chopped beef and pork. Sauté over medium heat until the meat turns golden.
3. Add the sausage, ham, tomato paste, or tomatoes in their own juice. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
4. Add the beef broth and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1-1.5 hours.
5. Season the solyanka with salt and pepper to taste, add bay leaf for aroma. Garnish the finished solyanka with fresh herbs.
6. Serve the solyanka with pickled cucumbers or lemon.
