Ingredients:


- 500g of pork or beef liver, thinly sliced

- 2 medium onions, sliced into half rings

- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil

- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

- Optional: herbs (parsley, dill) for garnish


Instructions:


1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the vegetable oil.


2. Add the onions and sauté them until they become soft and golden.


3. Add the sliced liver to the skillet with the onions. Cook the liver over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it's done. The cooking time depends on your preferences for the degree of doneness, but it usually takes about 5-7 minutes.


4. Season the liver and onions with salt and pepper to taste.


5. Transfer the liver and onions to a plate and sprinkle fresh herbs on top.


6. Serve hot as a standalone dish or with a side of your choice, such as boiled potatoes or rice.
